Night Sky and Flashlights!

November 25th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I went out to see the horses briefly this evening right as it was getting dark.

I saw both Jupiter and Venus tonight, which was pretty neat.

Casey Jane, however, was quite concerned about my flashlight. But, she’s a lot more confident these days. So, instead of bolting off, she just followed me around the pasture at liberty, snorting at the flashight the whole time and occasionally being brave enough to bump it with her nose. Eventually, she seemed to catch on to the fact that it wasn’t a horse-eating flashlight (or if it was, I was at least going to protect her from it).

how close are you to the stables? and i’m assuming you have a car….. or a magic carpet. So in regards to dolphins: males and females live in separate pods and only get together to get it on. so in those male pods, the dominance heirarchy is loosely based on size. and i’m pretty sure that pairs do rank higher than singles. however, in the female pods, i’m not quite as sure. I haven’ t seen too much fighting for dominance in female pods or read about it. maybe they’re too concerned about raising the babies? ponder ponder.
