I found myself excited yesterday that gas had dropped below $3.00/gallon. My first thought was wow!, cheap gas.

Here’s a link someone sent me recently:  http://www.google.com/search2001.html. In honor of their 10th birthday, Google has released it’s oldest index, from Jan 2001. Searching around a bit I found a couple of articles from 1999 where concerned citizens were complaining because gas was over $1.00/gallon.
