Testing. Testing. Testing 1, 2, 3.
Spent part of the afternoon figuring out how WordPress and BlueHost work, and getting this darn blog up and running.
(* And interestingly, I discover, Lorem Ipsum is more than just random Latin and actually derived from a passage by Cicero.)
Also, there was a bird in our house this evening. A very scared LLB (or Little Brown Bird, birdwatcher’s term for any indistinct/unidentifiable small dark bird) sitting on the kitchen table next to Zohra’s computer and panting hard. We often leave the door to the porch open to increase airflow, and I guess he had just decided to wander in. Originally I wondered if he was hurt or sick, but when I tried to prod him onto a box to take him outside, he flew several laps around the kitchen, eventually setting down near the sink. With a bit of herding, Mead, Zohra and I were able to redirect him back outside.
Now, however, the question remains, was this encounter with our local wildlife more or less exciting than the squirrel last month who climbed in through the kitchen window and chattered at me from a perch on top of our trashcan?
